Every month, three days before your billing date, AEO Scanbot automatically re-audits your website. If your Zero-Click Score has not improved by at least +5 points compared to your most recent prior scan, your subscription charge for that cycle is automatically waived β no action required on your part. You do not need to contact support, file a claim, or request a refund. The system handles it automatically. This guarantee applies to every billing cycle for as long as you remain a paid subscriber.
1. How the Zero-Click Score Is Measured
The Zero-Click Score is a composite score calculated by AEO Scanbot across six weighted dimensions, based on the Zero-Click Laws v1.0 framework (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.18305065) published by DrewIs Intelligence LLC. The total score ranges from 0 to 1,000 points.

The composite score is calculated as the weighted average of all six dimensions, normalized to a 0β1,000 scale. Scores are rounded to the nearest whole number.
2. The +5 Point Improvement Threshold
The guarantee threshold is a minimum improvement of +5 points on the Zero-Click Score (0β1,000 scale) between the two most recent completed scans on your primary project domain.
Why +5 points?
A +5 point improvement on a 1,000-point scale represents a 0.5% gain β a deliberately low bar that accounts for the reality that some optimization cycles produce incremental progress, not dramatic jumps. Weeks where no fixes were applied, where the site was unchanged, or where external factors (server downtime, third-party schema changes) affected the score are all situations the guarantee is designed to protect you from. If the tool is not moving your score forward β even slightly β you should not pay.
The comparison is made between: (a) the scan completed approximately 3 days before your billing date (the "evaluation scan") and (b) the most recent scan completed prior to the evaluation scan. If no prior scan exists (first billing cycle), the guarantee does not apply to that cycle β the first month is always charged as your baseline is being established.
3. What Triggers an Automatic Charge Waiver
Score did not improve by +5 points
The evaluation scan shows a Zero-Click Score less than 5 points above the prior scan score. The charge for that billing cycle is automatically waived.
Evaluation scan failed to complete
If the automated pre-billing scan fails to complete due to a system error on our end, the charge is waived for that cycle and a priority ops ticket is filed.
No scan data available for comparison
If there is only one scan on record (first cycle excluded), the system will waive the charge and flag the account for manual review.
4. What Does NOT Trigger a Charge Waiver
First billing cycle
The first month after subscribing is always charged. No baseline comparison exists yet. The guarantee begins from the second billing cycle onward.
Score decline caused by subscriber-initiated changes
If you removed structured data, deleted pages, or made changes to your site that caused the score to drop, the waiver does not apply. The guarantee covers tool performance, not subscriber-initiated regressions.
Score improvement of exactly +5 or more
If the score improved by +5 or more points, the charge proceeds normally. The guarantee threshold is a strict minimum β +5 points clears it.
Paused or cancelled subscriptions
The guarantee applies only to active paid subscriptions. Paused or cancelled accounts are not eligible.
Free plan
The Free plan does not include the Performance Guarantee. The guarantee applies to Professional and Agency plans only.
5. What Happens When a Waiver Is Triggered

The Stripe subscription charge for that billing cycle is automatically paused β no payment is collected.

A priority operations ticket is automatically filed with the DrewIs Intelligence ops team, flagging the account for urgent review.

The ops team reviews the account within 2 business days, identifies the root cause of the stalled score, and either applies additional fixes or provides a manual remediation guide.

Your subscription resumes at the next billing cycle. You are not required to take any action.

You will receive an email notification at your registered address confirming the waiver and the ops team's action plan.
6. Score Transparency & Verification
All scan scores are stored in your account dashboard and are accessible at any time. You can view the full score history for every project, including the exact scores used for each guarantee evaluation. If you believe a waiver was incorrectly applied or incorrectly denied, contact DrewIs Intelligence at [email protected] within 7 days of the billing date with your account email and the scan IDs in question.
We also encourage you to use the independent third-party tools available at aeoscan.bot/second-opinion to cross-validate your scores. Transparency is a core principle of the AEO Scanbot platform.
7. Limitations & Disclaimers
- The guarantee covers the AEO Scanbot's Zero-Click Score metric only. It does not guarantee specific outcomes in Google Search rankings, ChatGPT citation frequency, or any third-party platform's behavior.
- AI search engine algorithms and citation behaviors are controlled by third parties (OpenAI, Google, Perplexity, Microsoft) and may change without notice. Score improvements on AEO Scanbot's scale are the best available proxy for AI visibility improvement, but are not a guarantee of citation by any specific AI system.
- DrewIs Intelligence LLC reserves the right to modify the guarantee threshold, scoring methodology, or guarantee terms with 30 days' written notice to active subscribers. Existing subscribers will be grandfathered under the terms in effect at the time of their subscription for 90 days following any change.
- The guarantee is a service commitment, not a legal warranty. It does not create any additional liability for DrewIs Intelligence LLC beyond the waiver of the applicable subscription charge.
